“Indigenous Learning” Adult Formation Opportunity

October 2023 to June 2024

As part of our commitment to reconciliation and learning more about our indigenous siblings, we are looking at offering a year-long, once-a-month conversation group, connected to an online series.

4 Seasons of Indigenous Learning, is a program offered by Outdoor Learning Store (an Indigenous lead organization), specializing in education and reconciliation.  Each season or workshop series has a different theme. Season 1 emphasizes Foundations of Knowledge.

The course includes 10, 30min modules that you can watch at your own pace and 10 virtual gatherings with indigenous elders, leaders, and educators.  Those who decide to participate in the program will also be invited to participate in a St. Mary’s gathering for reflection and conversation on the Fourth Tuesday of the month, 7pm, on Zoom, beginning in October.

If you are interested in signing up please contact Rev. Lindsay at:
lindsay@stmaryskerrisdale.ca

Rev. Lindsay will be able to help coordinate the group discount if you are interested.  Early Registration ENDS June 30 --- so please be in touch before then so we can take advantage of the further reduced rate. If we register by June 30th, it would cost $90 per person. Bursaries are available for those who want to participate, but find the cost prohibitive.
