Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm from Nov.26th to Dec.17th

Our Advent discussion group this year is on that great Christmas season classic “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. Dickens’ story is rooted in Christian faith and full of imagery and teachings on redemption and living as a Christian. A Christmas Carol is a very short book and is naturally divided into four short ‘chapters’ (called Staves by Dickens).  Each week, we will read one 'stave', and you'll have the option to attend in-person or on Zoom for simple worship and discussion of the themes and images from that week’s ‘stave’ and how they relate to our own lives and the world today. This is a study group suitable for everyone, from teenagers to seniors!

Copies of A Christmas Carol are available for borrowing or for purchase (they're $4 each). We will meet on four Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm starting this coming Tuesday, November 26, and running to Dec 17th. Talk to Rev. Roberta for more information, to get on the list to receive the Zoom link or to get a copy of the book. (rfraser@stmaryskerrisdale.ca)
