Stewardship Season: Week 4

Growing as Saints: God’s Power Working in Us. What does that mean to you? Have you someone in your life who you consider to have saint-like qualities? Perhaps you lean on God to be with you in the ordinary of life. During the month of Stewardship, various parishioners have reflected on the theme. This week we have a piece by Max Schmidt:

God supports me by being present. With this presence, I know that I am loved and that he lives with me in the things I do. This includes involving myself in the choir at St. Mary’s, in my training as an engineer, and as a friend to my loved ones. As my relationship with God grows, these things become easier as I know I have a huge support behind me with God’s love. Other than God, I believe those who inspire us in life are precious and are nothing short of saints. Finding and cherishing those who do this for us is important, so we know who to go to in times of struggle. My biggest source of inspiration right now is my mother, Diana Schmidt. In my life, she inspires me to be better than I believe I can be and pushes me to keep striving to be better. Her love and support keeps me going and gives me focus for the things I love to do.
