A comprehensive, eight hour Red Cross certified course will be offered on Saturday, August 29 from 8 am to 5 pm, at St. Mary’s Kerrisdale. This course covers adult, child and infant CPR, choking, unconscious patient and Automated External Defibrillator use (a public access machine that is starting to pop up in malls, airports, schools and other public places). It also covers a great deal of basic emergency management. The course will be taught by Edward McCormick, MSc, ACP, a paramedic who has responded to past emergency situations at St. Mary’s. If you are interested in attending, please email kdixon@stmaryskerrisdale.ca and, at your convenience, drop off a cheque for $110 payable to St. Mary’s Kerrisdale. We require a minimum of eight people.
