St. Mary’s choirs lead music at Sunday services and join together to sing at special services such as Advent, Christmas Lessons & Carols, Holy Week services, and the occasional Evensong service. Music reading skills are desirable but not essential; a love of singing and a call to worship God through this service is the most important thing. Choir members may sing at either or both the 9:15 am and 11:15 am services.

The Handbell Choir is open to anyone who is interested in making “a joyful noise unto the Lord” and who can negotiate the stairs to the balcony. While the ability to read music is not essential it is helpful, as is a good sense of rhythm. We usually play one Sunday per month: the prelude, postlude, and one piece during communion for the 9:15 am service and the prelude for the 11:15 am service. We also sometimes play for festival services.
