As we look forward to the next century of grace we plan to celebrate our centennial by two important activities that have defined us as community – caring for our physical space and responding to the needs of our neighbours, here and abroad. Your parish council has approved a plan based on a equal sharing funding formula between internal and external development that will total $700,000. That means that for every dollar our centennial campaign raises, half will be spent on maintaining our community and half will be spent on compassionate outreach to our neighbours.

In our community a plan has been developed to renew the floor in the nave of the church. The old fir floor is degraded and a new floor of oak plus repairs to the under structure as need is planned. The second element of the internal project is to renew the entrance area of the church known as the narthex.

In our neighbourhood, parish council has approved two projects recommended to it by the Outreach Council.

Globally, as we strengthen our relationship with the Anglican Diocese of El Salvador, and in cooperation with the Cristosal Foundation, we will contribute to the construction of a new parish church and flood refuge centre at Cristo Rey in the Baja Lempa region.

Locally, we will contribute funds to the new kitchen facility in the expanded Powell Place Shelter being developed for women by St. James Community Service Society in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver.
