Liz Ruder-Celiz, Assistant Priest – Christian Formation
Liz is thrilled to be here at St. Mary’s. Originally from Wisconsin, Liz grew up and attended school here in the Lower Mainland, graduating from UBC in 2000. She was ordained in 2005 and has served parishes in the Diocese of New Westminster, APCI and Diocese of Kootenay, as the youth worker, curate, assistant, rector and most recently interim. She has a passion for the full participation of children and youth in the Church, and is excited by the opportunity to walk alongside, not only children and youth, but young adults and young families. Liz and her husband Robin (also a priest) are kept busy and honest by two lively daughters, a three legged grumpy old man dog and a demanding cat. email@example.com
Sharon Salomons, Pastoral Counselling
Prior to ordination, The Reverend Sharon Salomons worked in the area of family support and community development. She is licensed as Honorary Assistant at St. Margaret’s Cedar Cottage and is also been involved in leading spiritual retreats and offering spiritual direction.
Sharon brings a variety of skills in the area of counseling: Marriage and family counseling, grief and bereavement counseling, therapy for those experiencing depression or anxiety.
Rev’d Salomons is interested in focusing her practice on pastoral counseling, integrating the faith perspectives and spiritual life as an important component of counseling work. Sharon will be at St. Mary’s on alternate weeks on Thursday afternoons. firstname.lastname@example.org
Brigid Coult, Music Director
Brigid was born in England and earned a music degree from Liverpool University and spent several years in teaching and Arts Administration before coming to Canada in 1982. Her church music connections in Vancouver included working with Patrick Wedd and Rupert Lang at Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver, before her appointments as music director at St. Alban’s in Richmond and, since January 2002, at St. Mary’s.
Brigid served on the Bishop’s Liturgy Commission and with the Hymn Book Task Force that created the new Common Praise hymn book for the Anglican Church of Canada. She has sung with the Vancouver Bach Choir, Phoenix, and Elektra, conducted the Vancouver City Singers for 10 years and has directed the 70-voice Richmond Chorus since 1994. Brigid served on the Board of the BCCF for more than 20 years and was its president for 13 years. In addition to her work at St Mary’s, she teaches voice and piano privately and is a respected clinician and adjudicator.
Susan Ohannesian, Organist
Susan was born in Victoria, grew up in Vancouver and earned a music degree from UBC in 1974, and from 1976 to 2001 was music director at St. Philip’s in Dunbar. She was appointed organist at St. Mary’s in February 2002 and since then has taken on the duties of directing the handbell, junior and cherubs choirs.
Susan sings with Elektra women’s choir, and in addition to her work at St. Mary’s she teaches organ and piano privately.
John Taylor, Verger
The Verger oversees the operation of the physical plant of the church, acts as master of ceremonies in worship services and prepares the booking schedule.
Kimberly Blair, Youth and Communications Director
Kimberly grew up in the Diocese of BC. Her vocation lies in youth ministry and communications. She has many years of experience working and volunteering in both the youth and communications sectors through the BC Yukon Anglican Youth Movement (BCYAYM), Sorrento Centre, the Diocesan Council, and several other exciting organizations. Kimberly is currently finishing up her undergraduate degree in Communications and Publishing at Simon Fraser University.
As the Youth Director: Kimberly’s work includes leading and coordinating youth groups and supporting Sunday school and family ministry events. As well, her work encompasses pastoral visits and encouraging and equipping young people and families to be involved with their faith and in the life of the Church.
As the Communications Director: Kimberly’s work includes coordinating the church’s social media, website, emails, news bulletins or notices, and other such sources of communications.
Kimberly’s hope for St. Mary’s is that it continues to become a space where young people and families feel included, safe, and loved; and where they are fully welcomed, along with all of God’s children, into the family and ministry of St. Mary’s. Kimberly@stmaryskerrisdale.ca

The Parish Administrator oversees the administration of the church office and performs the accounting functions of the parish.
